I have a customer who has just installed new DL380 servers. One of the servers, running windows 2000 advanced server (SP3), will not restart from the operating system. You can select shutdown from W2k and it will power off. If you select restart, it will close the O/S down as if it's going to reboot, start POST, flash the drive lights, check the cdrom (lights) and then just sit there with no hard drive activity ! I've checked the ROMpaq and it's up to date. Has anyone seen this before ?

Hi Dave,
If you are using a Smart Array controller please make sure it's in Slot#1.
Also has burning software or Windows Media player been installed on this server?
The latest ROmPaq is SP23387. Dated 01/08/2003.
