DL380G2 ASR
This server is part of a 3way cluster running W2K3. I am running Veritas Backup Exec on this node and have started getting ASR Detected by System ROM messages. There is no more info than that. I have googled the message and found that this is happening to others. Has HP come up with anything?

Re: DL380G2 ASR
Hi,
Disable ASR in the system configuration utility, or disable ASR through Insight Manager, monitor server for hard locks or blue screens.
OR
Run Server Diagnostics if feasible to determine if this is a hardware or software issue

Re: DL380G2 ASR
I have disabled the ASR. Now instead of a system recovery it just locks up. I can't even Alt-Ctrl-Del. I had to pull the power on it. Nothing showed in any log and there was no dump. Any ideas?

Re: DL380G2 ASR
Hi Rich Friedel,
We can try different options.
First enable ASR as didnot helped us anyway. And tha is a imp part for server.
Q)Is there any specific time when server locks down.
Q)Is there any specific application you noticed make the server locks down.
Q)What is the Proliant Support Pack on same server.
Try to run the HP Online server Daignostics in some loops then check.
I am not too good in dump analysis. Since there used to be a utility caled dumpcheck we might try to check for same.
Regards,
Prashant S.
