DL380G4 : Hp Smart Array 6i Controller... Initializing
Hi,
My first post on this forum...
I have this message on screen "Hp Smart Array 6i Controller... Initializing ******" for approx 5min and then reboots and the cycle repeats.
I tried to run SmartStart CD but it stucks before I could see the options.
Any idea to troubleshoot further?

Re: DL380G4 : Hp Smart Array 6i Controller... Initializing
UPDATE:
I was able to run SmartStart CD and here is what I see...
----------------------------------------------------------------
ROM : P51 4/26/06
RAM : 2048 MB
Boot Controller : Smart Array 61 Controller
Boot Controller Disk Size : 0 MB
There is no bootable drive configured on this system.
----------------------------------------------------------------
When I goto ADU, it says - ADU did not detect any supported controllers in your system.
So where is the problem is? Controller or the HDD's?
Any idea?

Re: DL380G4 : Hp Smart Array 6i Controller... Initializing
Hello,
Have tried checking and possible removing the cache (if there is any) on the controller? It's lika a 128 MB minidimm.
It shows also "Boot Controller Disk Size : 0 MB" but this controller should have 64 MB embedded so it's possible that the controller is faulty. In this case try clearing the NVram with the switch on the systemboard or with the smart start cd (mark and remove the hard drives if you use the system erase option)
