DL380G4 Won't boot from Sandisk Cruzer USB "Thumb Drive"
I've used the HP USB Disk Storage Format tool to create bootable USB Thumb Drives. Some of these will boot and some won't. I have a non-branded giveaway unit, 128MB, that works fine. However, I cannot get the Sandisk Cruzer Titanium unit (512MB) to boot on the DL380G4. The HP tool completes without errors but the device will not boot. We've tried 2 different samples of the Cruzer Titanium device and both fail to boot. I'm preparing to purchase additional USB devices and want to make sure that the units I buy will work as bootable USB devices in the DL380G4s. Does HP publish a list of devices that work correctly? Can you tell me why my Sandisk device does not work?
Thanks in advance!

Re: DL380G4 Won't boot from Sandisk Cruzer USB "Thumb Drive"
Carl,
The only USB device quoted in the DL380G4 quickspecs is the 256MB HP Drive Key although you've obviously shown that others work OK.

There was also an upgrade to the HP Drive Key Boot Utility recently (Version 7.11). This may have a fix.
Regards,
Brian
