DL380G7 - Where is the ILOE configuration?

I have always pressed F8 during boot to configure my ILOE. That option is not showing on my new G7. I looked in the BIOS but don't see it there either. Can anyone tell me were to go to configure the ILOE? I nned to do this before loading the OS.

Thanks
Chris

On the boot up screen.

Press any key to view Option ROM messages.

You will see the F8, to access the ILO configuration menu.

Re: DL380G7 - Where is the ILOE configuration?

I've got a brand new DL380 G7 right out of the box, and trying to configure it, install O/S, etc. Pressing "any" key to bring up any option roms, is only bringing up a "Hit Control-S" to configure network boot options for my add-in Broadcom dual port gigabit iSCSI accelerator NIC card. There's no F8 option, no ILOE option, no manage-the-P410i raid controller option, or anything else.

The server didn't even come with a SmartStart boot CD or DVD disk like all other Proliant servers I've bought in the past have. I'm having to download SmartStart at over 630MB in size from the HP ftp site. I hope that comes with a utility so I can at least configure my disk array controller.

Try to set the S1 switch to On position (iLO 3 security is disabled).

See page 15 in the doc

Re: DL380G7 - Where is the ILOE configuration?

Disabling iLO solved my problem. I'm not using iLO anyway. Now I'm getting all my familiar bootup sequence messages and options :-D

Thanks!
