Find answers to similar questions .

1. chanre Primary PCI riser board .
2. update BIOS

Because The Primary PCI riser board is not used, can it be removed and not installed?
After removing the Primary PCI riser board, the problem of power off still remains unsolved
BIOS has been updated to P70 05/24/2019

Now go to the bios , change the thermal configuration to [Maximum Cooling] .
Temporarily available Not sure if it has something to do with temperature?

Thank you

Re: DL380P Gen8 - System Power Fault Detected

Hello,

Please do try the below steps and confirm the status of the issue.

1. Power drain the server (remove the power cables. Press and hold the power button for 30 secs)

2. Clear NVram

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=kc0128682en_us&page=GUID-213B4940-6869-46C5-8714-155190E95BB5.html

3. If the issue persists, perform a minimum configuration by removing all PCI devices and only with 1 proc and 1 DIMM and adding parts one after another

4. If the issue persists, please raise a support ticket with HPE to isolate the faulty hardware( suspect a system board issue)

Thanks.

@ManBha

Thanks for your reply

After a few days of operation, the problem occurred again today.

It even stays on the "Power and Thermal Calibration" screen when powering on

Today, according to your suggestion, clear NVram, and now can enter the system temporarily

under constant observation , Hope the problem will improve

thank you

Re: DL380P Gen8 - System Power Fault Detected

It will still automatically power off .

I expect to replace the system motherboard and SAS backplane , waiting for the parts .

After replacing the parts, will it affect the current Raid (Raid 1 system hard drive)?

Are there any places to pay attention to?

thank you

Re: DL380P Gen8 - System Power Fault Detected

Hello,

No, replacement of the system board and SAS backplane should not affect the existing RAID configuration.

Thanks.

Re: DL380P Gen8 - System Power Fault Detected

Progress Update :

1. Replacing SAS backplane and cable . . . 、power supply、power supply backplane、PCI#1、 , can't solve the problem .

2. removing all PCI devices and only with 1 proc and 1 DIMM ,  and Change CPU / RAM  ,  can't solve the problem .

Found that sometimes , Unable to enter [F10] successfully when booting
will stop at the loading screen crashed .

Today ~
The system motherboard has been replaced today, and the follow-up will continue to observe
