DL380p gen8 upgrade from E5 v1 to v2 in 2023

Hi, I'm planing to switch my E5 v1s to v2s for more cores. I alredy installed the 8.1 SPP and the latest 2019 BIOS. Is that alredy good enough or do I still need to use this guide to update?

Hi There,

 

V1 to V2 would work fine. V3 and V4 would require a Gen9 server.
If the firmware versions are latest, Data backup is done and Compatible CPUs are being installed, you should be fine.
