DL385 slot 0 HP smart array 6i controller is in lock-up state
Slot 0 HP Smart Array 6i Controller
1783-Slot 0 Array controller is in a lock-up state
due to a hardware configuration failure.
(Controller is disabled until this problem is resolved)
I have found that one of the HDDs does not have any of the LED lit. With all HDDs removed I get the same error. Can anyone help me?
Thanks

Re: DL385 slot 0 HP smart array 6i controller is in lock-up state
Hi, I believe this is what it says in the Proliant Troubleshooting Guide: reseat battery and memory for the controller.

Re: DL385 slot 0 HP smart array 6i controller is in lock-up state
Hi,
Remove the Cache Module and Battery, test the server.
If error message goes away then cache module could be the culprit.
If still error comes up with Hard Drives, cache module removed, then controller could be faulty.
You may need to replace system board as 6i is integrated into system board.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks.
