DL580 errors attempting to start hp-OpenIPMI
We have some DL580's running RHEL4 (U7). We are testing a set uf updates that include Firmware disl 8.4, the latest RHEL patches, and the 8.15 PSP.
When I upgraded the server to 8.15 PSP we where no longer able to start the HP-Health service. The error is in the hp-OpenIPMI module.
I have attempted to reinstall the entire PSP, just the hp-OpenIPMI rpm, and even to recompile the OpenIPMI driver by hand. Unfortunately nothing has helped. Every time we try to start hp-health service, the same errors occur. I am including a log sample below:
