DL580 G2 PCI cards
I am trying to install a pci fibre channel card into the pci-x slots on a dl580-g2. The problem I have is that they don't physically fit.
PCI-X is meant to be fully backwards compatible but for these card to fit, I would have to cut a hole in the systemboard for the bracket to fit.
I have also found this to be the case on the DL380 G2.
Are there any extra brackets I need to make them fit?
Thanks

Re: DL580 G2 PCI cards
Your FC PCI card is probably an older 5V PCI card which is not compatible with the 3.3V slots found in most G2/3 servers today.
3.3V PCI cards fit fine in a PCI-X slot and vice versa.
