DL580 processor upgrade

Good Morning!
We have several DL580 servers model 430810-001 with 4 dual core Xeon processors. We would like to upgrade these to the 6 core processors. I was wondering if this could be accomplished with just a processor upgrade or do I need a new box? (I was thinking of the 6 core Xeon X7460’s. If these aren’t compatible is there another model processor (4 cores) that is?)

Lastly, is there a document located somewhere which has these compatibilities listed that I may reference myself?

Upgradeability HP ProLiant DL580 G4 servers with Intel Xeon 7041 and 7030 processors can be upgraded with Intel® Xeon® 71x0 processors. All ProLiant DL580 G4 servers can support up to 4 processors.


(although I was hoping to get by with a processor upgrade, not a new box. bummer.)
