DL580G5 need to fix cpu speed. The time stamp counter of CPU on scheduler id 14 is not synchronized
eg
The time stamp counter of CPU on scheduler id 14 is not synchronized with other CPUs.
Where 14 is any cpu.
My googling points at drift caused by the cpu speed changing. If these errors occur then Microsoft recommend that a fixed cpu speed is used.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931279
I have set the Bios (firmware P61) to Static Maximum Performance. I have checked that ILO agrees with this.
Microsoft also recommend setting the power option to "Always On" to stop CPU throttling. As the system is running Windows 2008 it has the Vista style power settings. I have set "Maximum Performance".
Using CPUz I can still see the CPU's downclocking. The multiplier moves back and forth between x8 and x10 depending on load.
Can anyone advise on how to fix the cpu speed on the DL850 G5.
Thanks

Unfortunately there does not seem to be a solution for the intel based DL580G5.
The boot.ini switch will not correct the problem within Sql Server.
