DL585 G1 Avanced System Mgmt Controller Driver
I have installed Windows 2008R2 on a DL585 G1 (4 CPUs, 32GB RAM), I have installed it via booting with Smartstart 8.30, that means that PSP is installed after installing the OS. What is not installed is the "HP Proliant Enhanced and Advanced System Management Controller Driver for Windows Server 2008 x64 Editions". I tried out to install it manually: cp010914.exe => and get the message "OS is not supported" ???. Tried also cp010813.exe (which is for Windows 2003x64) with same result. Can anybody help me? Is Windows 2008R2 not supported on a DL585 G1? One last remark: Firmware of all components was updated to the latest version!

Re: DL585 G1 Avanced System Mgmt Controller Driver
I doubt Server 2008R2 was tested on a 1st generation DL585.
I did find this under the 2008 x64 drivers page for the DL585. Have you tried this driver?

Re: DL585 G1 Avanced System Mgmt Controller Driver
OK, I was near the solution. The answer is simple and also documented by HP: 2008R2 is not supported for DL585 G1, I took 2008 x64 and the installation of PSP worked.
