Re: NVIDIA Model that works on a DL585 G2
Hi Dan,
Good update, I too cant get the es1000 to be fully disabled but havent encountered the issue you have when it comes to benchmarking. I'm using the HDMI output on my GFX card but I doubt that would make any difference, my card is a consumer level Geforce rather than a Quadro, possibly a driver issue if you are using quadro drivers??
I've converted my 2008R2 into a workstation using this page: http://www.win2008r2workstation.com/ basically my DL585G2 is now a 16 core Win7 box with gaming capabilities and server reliability.
My next project is a 2nd GTX470 to see if sli works as the nvidia i/o chipset used on the DL585G2 is sli enabled and is reported as functional in sandra so it's worth a 50 quid punt to see. If it doesnt work then I can always sell on the 2nd card again for what i paid for it.
Cheers
Mark

Re: NVIDIA Model that works on a DL585 G2
It seems these machines just don't like Radeon cards... As I also have a couple of very old nvidia cards working no problems.
I'd like to hear how you got on with the SLI...
