DL785 G6 only sees Proc/mem cell 8
I am have 4 785тАЩs that have been running into issues when they are powered up or powercycled.
They only register proc/mem cell 8. The current work around I have found is to power off the server, reseat cell 8, power the server back on and wait.
The servers will run for several minutes at full fans before performing a prepost memory check as if new memory was installed.
I have updated the firmware to the latest available (BIOS/RBSU 12.04.2009 and iLO2 1.81) and am still encountering this issue.
I have searched the HP forums and have found no similar incidents. I am creating a thread on the forums to probe if anyone else has found a more suitable work around.
Sitting by a cluster and reseating/resetting 4 servers until they see all their processors and memory is kludgy at best.

Re: DL785 G6 only sees Proc/mem cell 8
I was able to isolate the problem. The midplane on the server was faulty.
