Drives

They are hot swappable. Not sure if i needed to set jumpers, but that is worth a check.

Re: Drives

Any Compaq / HP hotplug drives do not need to be jumpered for SCSI ID it is set by the slot.

Re: Drives

So I am still in the same predicament then. Any ideas?

Re: Drives

Not sure what your predicament is here .. do you ahve hotplug drives that you want to use in non hotplug slots? or just hotplug drives in hot plug slots.

If there both hot plug just put them in the slots and they will be assigned IDs automatically. No jumpers required.

If there hotplug drives for non hotplugs slots then you would need to remove the hotplug drive tray and set the jumpers

Re: Drives

Well I removed a drive that was giving me BSOD. But adding a new one to the same slot did the same. Ive put one in a difernet slot but the Array configuration tool wont let me add it because it says the old was needs removing ( which it is )
