Dual CPU proliant 800
I've upgrade my proliant 800 with another p2 350mhz, but the server doesn't detect the 2nd cpu. Do I need another voltage board for the cpu? 'cause i'd heard from some IT specialist, that you don't need a 2nd voltage board in a proliant 800 if your using dual cpu. can someone help me?

Re: Dual CPU proliant 800
Hello Rob,
You definitely need a separate processor power module for the second CPU.

Re: Dual CPU proliant 800
Hello Rob,
Here is the part no for the PPM in case you need to know:
Processor Power Module - 327660-001
I would run the system configuration utility as well. In case you dont have the latest one then you can download it from the following link:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/13227.html
When run run the utility you would be asked to 'Upgrade the system partition' or 'Do Not Upgrade the System Partition'. You select the 'Do Not Upgrade Option'. Then you should be all set.
