Embedded Sata Raid ML310G3
Support,
Server: ML 310
OS: Window 2003 SP2 R2
Raid: 1 (Embedded Sata Raid)
My server lost power for a period of 6 hours due to the recent hurricane (Irene). The raid settings were lost. I know have 4 drives displaying in 'My Computer' when there should only be 2. When I select F9 duing boot, then select Advanced Settings, the Embedded Sata Raid is set to disabled.
I had this same problem earlier this year when I upgraded the memory. Upon changing out the memory the Raid settings were lost. I do not recall the specific steps required to fix the Raid configuration.
If I recall this is what is needed:
1. Enable Raid in BIOS
2. Select F10 to save
3. Reboot
4. Select F8 to modify Raid Settings
5. Select option to Verify
Please confirm if the steps listaed above are correct. Any missing pieces?
Thanks,
Bill V
