erase utility on Smartstart CD
Hi,
I'm trying to install Windows Nt 4.0 server on a proliant ml350 g3 server. And I was using the erase utility under the maintenace tab on the smartstart cd. And I accidentally blew away the NVRAM and CMOS and now when I try to boot of the Smart start Cd. I get this message "There is no bootable drive configured on this system". So I'm kind of screwed now and haven't been able to figure out how to reverse what I did. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
John

Re: erase utility on Smartstart CD
John:
When the system comes up, hit F10 and go into the bios. You need to se the boot order and boot controller to whatever device and controller you have.
G'luck

Re: erase utility on Smartstart CD
Hi John,
Yours is ML350 3rd generation server which has Rom Based Set up utility. Therefore, you would need to go to F9 when prompted(During POST process). That's where you set up the standard boot order. Once this is set then you would have access to the CD.
