Error 207 On Post
I have just recently put in a 128mb upgrade to my Compaq Proliant 5000 server. This is third party memory but all Compaq Memory Part numbers were given to them and i was assured it was the right stuff.I have followed the instructions as per the server cover.four modules - two onto each memory expansion board - it sees the memory but a post error 207 - check dimm configuration appears.
1.I removed the old memory and put my new dimms like for like but the error occurs again.
2. I have tried various combinations with the new memory but it still comes back with that same error.
Can anyone help
regards,
Graeme

Re: Error 207 On Post
alot of third party ram does not work well with our servers despite manufacturers and resellers saying it does..if you take that ram out and put just the compaq ram in the system and it works fine then it is the third party ram that is the issue
