Error code 59

Sir,

We are configuring our new Compaq Proliant ML370 G2. We have configured the logical Drive to Raid 5, save the configuration and the server automatically restarts. It boots again on the smart start Cd, and we have the following error message. "ERROR CODE 59 - Smart Start cannot continue - There are no logical or Physical disks configured". I'm sure I have already configured the disks properly.

How many controller do you have? Are you sure you are using (booting) the right controller?
Try a system erase, if not clear nvram.
Update to the last firmware.
Go to the Internet and create floppy with smartstart installation.

If your server has array card,first you should press F8 to enter Option Rom Configuration for array utility when server POST and scan array card completely,create RAID level,logical driver,after save.....follow smartstart CD to configure you server

I had the same problem today. When your system boots, wait until you get past the SCSI controller and the ARRAY setup screens, then press "F9" to enter the ROM-Based Setup Utility. From there you can select which controller to boot from. Choose your SMART ARRAY controller. That should do it!
