Ethernet card not getting an ipv4 from router

2023-08-22_21-55-47.png

I reset the iLO 4 and install everything again since I just bought this recently from a company, it is used. And I can connect with the iLO without any problem. I know it recognices the etherneth adapter but I can not make it work with the router. I know this is a server setting because my PC gets an IP and the DHCP seems to work on the router side, any ideas to fix it? I have tried on different ports and that is why it says link down, because I tried on that port too and same thing, I also have a second ethernet adapter installed, 331T and same stoy. Thanks for the help in advance

Hi Encosoto,
1) Since status of the device is showing as 'degraded', you can upgrade to the latest version of the firmware by this link.
2) Please check and connect the network cable to the port on the basis of mac addresss of the port.
3) 'Link down' denotes that the port at the router side may be down. please check once.
4) Check that the router has dhcp IP address in pool to assign it to this server.

Re: Ethernet card not getting an ipv4 from router

Hello,

The IP address information that shows up in the iLO will not show anything other than N/A unless you have the Agentless Management Service (AMS) installed on top of the host OS. What OS do you have on it and what is showing up for the IP within the OS? The IP address for the NIC will be obtained by the driver running inside the host OS from your DHCP server. Once an address is assigned (manually or through DHCP) AMS will be able to report that information down to the iLO in the server. If AMS is either not installed or not running, then none of this information obtained from within the OS will be reported back to the iLO.

Regards
