Re: EVENT ID 57 HPQILO2
it seems to be solved with a new driver:
HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver for Windows Server 2008 ver 1.11.1.0
26 May 2009
On my dl380g5 with windows 2003 it's now ok.

for Windows Server 2008 x64 Edition - 1.8.0.0
into version 1.11.1.0 the numerous logs has come down to 2 logs. Still it didnt solve the problem. Pls pls pls... Hp must come out with the answer of this error. I have read a lot of forums regarding this error. some says the 1.11 update resolved the problem, other says not. Unluckily, i was one of those who says NOT. pls help.

Re: EVENT ID 57 HPQILO2
I still have vent id 57 on my Proliant BL460c and i had to disable the Automatic System Restart option to avoid unexpected server reboot.
Does anyone know how to fix this once for ever?

Re: EVENT ID 57 HPQILO2
I downgraded the HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver to version 1.11.1.0 and I was getting only the two error messages.
Last night I upgraded back to 1.11.2.0 and now I'm not getting any messages.
Problem solved? ... I'll wait and see.

Three nights ago I upgraded my HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver from version 1.11.1.0 to version 1.11.2.0 and since then not a single bad log entry or false alarm.

Re: EVENT ID 57 HPQILO2
Do you have one solution ? I have the same error : "NetFN 0x4, command 0x2D timed out".
I updated the "Online ROM Flash for Windows - HP Integrated Lights-Out 2 to the version 1.79 (28/08/2009)" It was completed successfully.
I update the "HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver for Windows Server 2003" to 1.12.0.0 and when I go to the log : I see that the installation procedure was completed successfully. But when I launch again the same update, the POP UP tells me that it was not up to date and my Current Version is 1.11.0.0.
This update seems not to be installed but at the end of the process and in the log : it is OK (The installation procedure was completed successfully).
And I always have the same error "NetFN 0x4, command 0x2D timed out". Do you have a solution for my problem. It is a bug HP ? I think I must not restartmy server for this update ?

Re: EVENT ID 57 HPQILO2
Win2k3 SP2 x64
DL365G1
Firmware/Drivers/ROM are all pretty old.
It seems to be isolated to our DL365's. We had an unexpected shutdown on 9/21 and I see the event ID 57 in the logs.
We also see this logged in the iLO 2 Log:
BMC IPMI Watchdog Timer Timeout: Action=System Power Reset.
We will be updating as follows:
PSP 8.30
Firmware Update CD 8.60
ROM: 2009.07.17 (21 Jul 2009)
MS Storport.sys array driver (recommended to us by MS after looking at our crashdump file)
- you may or may not need this
I have one system that has been fully updated last Thursday (9/17) so we'll see how it goes.
