Extending partition with non contiguous free space - RAID 5

Hello,

i need help on the following problem.

i have a ProLiant 380 Gen 10 Server configured with a RAID 5, with windows server installed on it.

Basically, i need to extend a partition.

Unfortunately, in the past, someone partitioned the storage unwisely, so that there is a lot of free space "on the left" of the partition that i need to extened.

The question is, is it safe to run gparted on my server from a usb drive, and then moving the free space so i can extend my partition or is there a high probability that i will lose data?

I hope my explanation is intelligible.

Thank you in advance.

Greetings!

From the hardware perspective, I understand that there is no unused space in Smart Storage Administrator and that you are looking to extend the partition from the Operating System level.

Please take a valid data backup before making any changes to the partition using any partition-editing application.
