F-2 Storage Controller Options
Hello Compaq Lovers
I have a new in the box F-2 Proliant Storage System and the documentation that came with it tells me it will work with any (almost) controller, a RAID one is not mandatory. I hooked it up to an Adaptec 29160 and also an LSI U-160 controller. The drives were not seen with either one. What am I doing wrong here ?
Thanks for any advice.
Happy Holidays to all !!
Steve

Re: F-2 Storage Controller Options
Hello;
Often you need to disable the BIOS on a non-Compaq/HP controller card in order for it to properly initialize and recognize the drives in the system.
Check your references for the Adaptec and LSI controllers to see if this is an option.
What server is the controller in? If it is a ProLiant, it most likely already has a scsi controller on board that will work for you.
Hope that helps.
Sincerely,
Janine Bertolo
