Fan Noise
Dear all,
I have an ML350P that has been in for a year and four months now and it has been fine.
In the past couple of weeks the fans have started running a bit harder they normally run at around 10% or just under, at the moment they are running at 31%.
The room isn't really very hot I can see no alerts in the logs nor can I see anything bad on the temp area.
Just wondering if someone has an idea, I am inclined to take it apart and clean it ?
Many thanks

My first thought would be to open it up and see how much dirt has accumulated

Re: Fan Noise
Hello raymoreton,
please verify if you have latest firmware and driver for ILO management.
You can also check if there is no dust in fans in this server and if you have not something in front of this server - for example another server blows heat air.
If problem still persist, you can try to reset ILO management - power off the server and disconnect power supply for 5 minutes to reset ILO.

Re: Fan Noise
Did you try to set Cooling to Optimal in bios ( F9 )?
did you have any installed PCI card?
