Fan Speeds on Hp Proliant Dl380 G4
I want to take a retired DL380 G4 and use it in my bedroom. I know that on the G6 and later models that they had a fan control option in the BIOS. Does that exist on G4 servers or do I have to do a BIOS update?

Re: Fan Speeds on Hp Proliant Dl380 G4
To use a G4 Proliant in your bedroom is a bold idea
Under "Advanced settings" there is a "Power governor" setting, that lets you choose full power or power save, but it does not affect the fan speed.

Ok. They also had a ML350 G5. Is there fan speed options in the BIOS?

There is no option in the BIOS to set the speed of FAN.
where as you can set the power consumption in the BIOS.
Thank you
