Faulty HPE UPS R/T3000 G5 HV INTL UPS
Goodday!
I've been trying to check the warranty on my HPE R/T3000 G5 HV INTL UPS cause it has been acting up lately.
Shutting down on it's own and not properly working. Whenever i look at the logs it makes no sense at all.
Ive tried making a case yet the S/N which appears on my UPS comes up as "invalid" on the warranty check.
Is there somewhere else i have to admit these issues?

Re: Faulty HPE UPS R/T3000 G5 HV INTL UPS
Hi,
see here: HPE UPS Solutions – Overview and best practices technical white paper
As with all other HPE Rack and Power Infrastructure, any warranty or service extension purchased
for an HPE server is automatically added to a connected HPE UPS model (excluding the UPS battery) at no additional charge
So you can Open a Case with the Serial Number of an attached Server that has an active Warranty or Service.
Sometimes it needs some explanation for the Support, but it will finally work that way.
Cali

Re: Faulty HPE UPS R/T3000 G5 HV INTL UPS
I have the same model, “HPE UPS R/T3000 G5 HV INTL.”.
The serial number displayed on the UPS indicator and on the sticker on the unit is the same, but this serial number is not in the warranty verification database on the HPE website.
I still have the shipping box from this UPS. I found two stickers on the box with different serial numbers on them. One sticker had the serial number that was displayed on the UPS. I took the serial number from the second sticker on the box and checked it on the warranty verification site on the HPE website, and the serial number showed the warranty.
Now there is another problem
How do I show that the UPS has a warranty under a different serial number?
And since when is the warranty on the packaging box and not on the unit?

Re: Faulty HPE UPS R/T3000 G5 HV INTL UPS
I wanted to advise RMREGUERO where to look for another serial number for his device.
Sunitha, thank you for the advice. I have already given a request to our local service center, waiting for their verdict..
