Firmware update for "HPE FlxFbrc 10Gb 4p 536FLR-T Adptr" at DL380G10 / ESXi 6.7 server

Hi

Tried to upload latest firmware (CP043318.compsig) via iLO but it states that signature is missing. I was also able to download CP043318.zip file but not sure how to use it. Extracted it at it contains: CP043318.vmexe, CP043318.vmfile and couple other files.

The update seems to be quite important since current firmware:

HPE FlxFbrc 10Gb 4p 536FLR-T Adptr 7.17.19 Embedded ALOM

is reported to cause thermal problems.

So, how can I update firmware of the NIC? Hmm.. as writing this it came to my mind that maybe the SPP 2020.09.0 has proper drivers? But anyways, it is quite tricky to update the server.

Hi,

Installation instructions are available in CP043318.txt, which is included in CP043318.zip.

To update firmware from VMware ESXi operating system on target server:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
- Enable Tech Support Mode on the ESXi host
- Login as root. (You must be root in order to apply the update)
- Place the Smart Component zip file in a temporary directory
- Unzip the file CPXXXXXX.zip
- Ensure that CPXXXXXX.vmexe is executable by using the command:
- chmod +x CPXXXXXX.vmexe
- From the same directory, execute the Smart Component. For example: ./CPXXXXXX.vmexe
- Follow the directions given by the Smart Component
- Logout
- Disable Tech Support Mode on the ESXi host

For other types of installation, please refer to the TXT file witih the .ZIP file.

Thank You!

Enter the ESXi host credentials (root or administrator username and password)
For HP SUM 6.0 and newer, select both the Additional Package with the added component and the SPP Baseline on the node Inventory page.
