fw update
Hello,
is it possible to break server while firmware updating through ilo remote media?
That is, if network connection is broken while updating can i restart update process?
Does server perfoms caching locally before upgrading FW?
Thanks in advance

Re: fw update
Hi,
During any Firmware update for that matter, do not switch OFF or Restart the server.
Restarting or Switching OFF the server during firmware update may cause the server or that hardware to not respond.
Thank You!

When updating System ROM and iLO firmware through the iLO interface, the firmware images are copied to the iLO before the actual update takes place. Once the files are copied to the iLO, they are checked for signature and CRC values before the update proceeds This is for iLO 3 and iLO4, I don't recall how iLO2 functioned
