G7 ilo remote console setup
Hi All,
We recently bought a bunch of G7 Proliant 360's and 380's. The ilo firmware is 1.10, Jul 26 2010 and they have ilo 3 advanced license installed. When I go to ILO's Remote Console, I am presented with a choice of Integrated Console or Java Integrated Console. I select Java Integrated Console and it gives me a new window with Power Switch, Virtual Drives, Keyboard at the top and at the bottom it says Offline but it does not give me a console. What am I missing? On my G6's with earlier firmware they just connect into the console.
If anybody can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
Oh yeah, the systems are all running Redhat 5.5_x64.
Thanks,
j.Dan

Re: G7 ilo remote console setup
Hi!
is there a firewall or ACL's between the vlan your computer is on and the vlan your ILO's are on?
HP changed the remote console ports between ILO2 and ILO3 so you need to open the new remote console port 17990 to get the remote console working.
Here are all ILO3 Ports:
SSH 22
Web (non-SSL) 80
SSL 443
IPMI-over-LAN 623
Remote Console 17990
Virtual Media 17988

Re: G7 ilo remote console setup
Thanks for the suggestion regarding ports but I checked and 17990 is not being blocked.
