gaming and web hosting
I am looking to buy a server for my home. I do not have a small business, but would like to get into web hosting. I also want to open a site up for the game I play (Unreal Tournament ) as well as open a game on my server that is dedicated. I have cable now but will get dsl in a few weeks.
My question is, is the Neoserver over board in what I am trying to do? Can I get the Neoserver without the internet package and still hook it up to my dsl? Will I be able to host a couple of sites and my game from the server? And will the connection be fast enough? Please get back to me as soon as possible, and I thank you.

Re: gaming and web hosting
no, get a real server for your needs. The Neoserver willnot work as a game server as you wont be able to laod the games.

Re: gaming and web hosting
You are correct. The Neoserver models do not have a CD-ROM or floppy drive in the system, so you can not load any software onto the system. You can only setup a network share to the Neoserver from a Windows peer-to-peer workstation and store files on the Neoserver from over the local network.
