Ghost Imaging Raid Arrays
Is it possible to use Norton Ghost to image a raid array to an IDE hard drive then replace the older raid array with a new larger raid array and image from the ide hard drive to the new raid array? I'm trying to avoid having to rebuild the server entirely. Thanks for stopping by.

Re: Ghost Imaging Raid Arrays
This is not possible since there is no RAID driver for DOS available.
The easiest way would be - if you have RAID1 selected for the OS drive - to:
- shut down the server
- remove 1 drive from the R1 array
- restart the server
- insert another drive for the R1 to rebuild
Now you have a complete copy that you can use to recover your server in case of disaster. You can repeat this process whenever the OS gets updated.
