Got a used HP Proliant ML370 from work. No video output...
The server starts up fine with no LED indications of a problem. After a while I hear the beep to show the server has booted up. I have a VGA cable that I have tested with another computer and another monitor and it works. It will not worked when connected to my ML370. Please help me solve this issue. If images are needed I can provide those if this site permits. First post so I do not know what to expect.
Thank You,
Elijah S

Re: Got a used HP Proliant ML370 from work. No video output...
Hi,
I am not sure which Generation you have got, there are 6 generations of ML370.
It could be that there is another add-on video card and you are connecting the VGA cable to the Onboard VGA port, or vice versa.
If that's not the case, then perform basic troubleshooting.
1. Remove any additional hardware that's not needed for POST, like additional RAM, PCI Cards, External devices, USB Stick, etc.
2. Clear NVRAM from System Maintenance Switch or CMOS Battery.
3. Swap RAM and/or Processor if available.
4. Try a different monitor, may be its the resolution problem.
Thank You!

I have the serial number which is behind a little door on the front of the server. I can't find the gen of the server by this serial number maybe you can. Here it is EA94KJ4Z33.
