GPU not detected in ML350 G6
Firstly sorry for my poor English, and if I'm not in the right place to ask this.
I bought a 2nd hand ml350 G6, it works even if I had to tweak things around for a bit at the beginning. It's loaded with x5650 * 2, 48 GB ddr3 ECC, 750W PSU * 2, Debian 10 on SATA SSD and data on p410i RAID 10 1TB * 4 5400rpm hdd. Bios is in D22 version from 2018. This works and is configured properly.
Now the fun part. As there is no graphics card, the screen is rendered by CPUs. So I firstly added a GTX 550 Ti. Took some time, and forgot what happened but then, at startup I could see GTX 550 Ti when bios was loading, and my VGA screen was plugged into it and debian's desktop was fluid and rendered by this. Notice that there was a 6 pin connector for this CGU, that I took from 2 molex connectors, and it worked for months.
Then I had a GTX 1050 to put in it. And when switching CGUs, now the screen can only be displayed by MB VGA port, in bios, connector 4 have an unknown PCI device, and no matter what set up I chose for graphics (option CGU primary, integrated disabled ; option primary, integrated secondary ; integrated primary, option secondary) none of both 1050 or 550Ti won't work anymore. Notice that 1050 does not have power connector, only draws from MB, and is PCie 3.0 16x on PCie2.0 16x slot.
And Debian recognize like GM107 card, but won't use it and drivers won't work.
CGUs are both fonctionnal for sure. When I try to plug VGA in CGUs nothing is displayed even if server seems to work.
Now I'm back with laggy screen, and I can't do without due to graphical software services that runs on it.
Any help is much appreciated, and I will give any information asked, I'm just at school for now.
Thanks and have a good day !

Re: GPU not detected in ML350 G6
Did you have the drivers for the motherboard and its chipsets ?
Update BIOS and other firmware .
Is GPU officially supported by HPE?

Re: GPU not detected in ML350 G6
Hello,
Thanks for your help, but I don┬┤t have any GT710 on the shelf, but my GTX1050 doesn┬┤t need extra connectors either.
Restoro is only for Windows and as I said, I use Debian.
BIOS is up to date, Debian, too, and I don┬┤t know where to find a list of officially supported material (even HDDs are just Barracudas).
Thanks for you help

Re: GPU not detected in ML350 G6
Problem with those is, the power consumption.
