Hardware Monitoring of DL380 G5

What is the best practice for monitoring hardware of a DL380 G5, that is running Vmware? Also can you remotely change the bios settings?

Not that I am an Intel expert, BTW this is an HPUX forum ;)

I believe SIM in conjuction with ILO is the delivered way. Maybe browsing those items would help ?
