Hi:
I have an HP Proliant DL380 G7 with 96 Gb of RAM. around 65 Gbs are showing as hardware reserved memory. How could I fix that?

Re: Hardware Reserved memory
The Quickspecs document for DL380 G7:
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13595_div/13595_div.HTML
The memory section has several notes regarding memory configuration. At least these two might be important in your case:
NOTE: If only one processor is installed, only half the DIMM slots are available. NOTE: when populating with the 16GB Memory Kits (Quad-Rank), only 12 DIMMs can be populated. [...]
So, do you have 2 processors installed, or just one?
What is your memory configuration:
- DIMM type (UDIMM or RDIMM)
- number and capacity of DIMMs installed
- which slots you have plugged them into?

Re: Hardware Reserved memory
Is it windows that reports the memory as Hardware reserved?
What type of Windows are you running? For exampel windows 2008 r2 Standard x64. I'm thinking it might be the limits in the OS of how much memory you can use. I see you can only use about 32 GB of RAM wich is the memory limit for windows 2008 r2 standard x64.
