hardware

I need to add disk space- Currently 4.3 Gig (242611-001) x 5. I would like to upgrade or add. Previous post directed another user who wanted part numbers for the 18 and 36 Gig drives to the support page containing maint and quick reference guides - This was no help as the largest drive shown was 9 Gig. Also, is it possible to just add another cage or single drive to the system thereby keeping the existing??
Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Re: hardware

First determine if your systems SCSI controller and bus is 68 pin or 50 pin. Is the SCSI controller SCSI-II, Fast-Wide, Ultra-Wide or Ultra SCSI-3. Next determine if your system is using hot-plug hard drives. Then you need to look at the Compaq hard drive compatibility tables to determine what hard drive models are available for the SCSI configuration that is in the system, at this web address.

Part numbers to order the drives are listed in the hard drive tables. See this web page to find a Compaq sells dealer in your area you can order the hard drives from.
