HDD activity LED indicator not blinking

Hi,
i bought a hp prolaint dl140 g3 recently.... i had installed 2008 server on it.... i am seeing from many days that the HDD activity LED indicator is not glowing/blinking.... the LED's on the hard drives are functioning normally when ever there is an activity but not the hdd indicator which is beside the power button.... can anyone help me....

I am guessing that light is for the embedded raid controller and the embedded controller is not in use? Instead the server has an add-on SA controller such as the E200 or E500.
