Help with DL360e Gen8 - Possible Raid controller failure?
Hi All,
Ive trawled the forum but cannot find an answer to my problem. We have a DL360e Gen8 sever running Windows 2012 Server with 8 disks in a Raid. (Single processor E5-2403, 8GB RAM, B320i Raid Controller) that has been hanging a lot recently. Ubenknown to me, users have been forcing it off and on again when it was running slow for the past few weeks! Today it was restarted and now wont reboot.
When the server is started it is slow to boot, finally gets to the windows logo and then we get the BSOD (no error numbers or messages). Ive been trying all day to get it going again but I think the Raid controller might have failed. If I go into the iLO overview and click on strorage, it says there is no smart array installed and when the server is booting (with the windows logo showing) all the drives turn off, I get the blue lights then all flash as the disks start up again just before the BSOD.
Would you guess that the Raid controller has failed? or maybe the power supply?

Also I dont seem to be able to access the Intellegent Provisioning? When I select it the server loads more and then the screen goes blank and I just have a flashing cursor?

Re: Help with DL360e Gen8 - Possible Raid controller failure?
Hello Andy,
Plesae capture AHS logs and IML logs from same server. does IML show any error message ? if able to hit to OS boot loader then controller seems to be ok.
Regards
