Hot swap NVMe issue on DL380 Gen9
We just acquired an HP DL380 Gen 9 with the 6-disk NVMe strorage bay. We don't have the money for official HP NVMe drives so we are using Intel P3500 drives. I'm testing out hot-swap capability but it appears that pulling a drive causes the system to crash. Tested with EL8.0 and EL7.7. From what I've read in various places it seems like this should work. What am I missing?

Re: Hot swap NVMe issue on DL380 Gen9
Greetings!
What is the Operating System installed on the server?
NVMe drives are attached to the PCIe interface directly and do not have a dedicated hardware RAID engine similar to SAS controllers, therefore, RAID is only supported through the operating system software (e.g., Windows mirror, Linux MD, etc.).
Also please cross check if the chassis has the required hardware components to support NVMe drives.

Re: Hot swap NVMe issue on DL380 Gen9
I'm running CentOS 8.0. Looks like the issue is that I don't have the NVMe specific drive trays with the power button. I've ordered those now.
