How many sockets exist on each server motherboard?
I need to know how many sockets are on each motherboard of each server we have in our inventory. The original configuration when shipped will suffice. It would be helpful to know if there where any empty sockets on any mobos as well and what the min/max socket configuration was. I have a complete inventory including model and serial numbers. Would I be able to identify if hyper-threading is present as well? Is there a serial number look-up anywhere on hp.com. Model number lookup does not give me enough detail.

Re: How many sockets exist on each server motherboard?
I followed your suggested link and found it to vague. I need to know the exact configuration at time of shipment. Where can I enter specific serial numbers to get this level of detail?

Re: How many sockets exist on each server motherboard?
I guess you will not find this information on the internet.
AFAIK you get an installation report (printed) with your systems. The quickspecs will tell you all of the supported configurations (total number of slots etc.)
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
