I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere. Some suggest to go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\CPQMgmt\cqmghost and check version of any exe, while some suggest to go to add/remove progs and check version of Insight mgmt agents. Both the above methods give 8.26 while the link HP support sent me says PSP 8.25.
Confused now I am on 8.25 or 8.26
Thanks

Re: How to check installed PSP version
Basically PSP is just a bundle of driver (and some software) so you can have mixed environment with some driver of the same version than in the PSP and some other newer or even older.
My 2 cent is to install VCA on the server so you can manage driver and software version centrally.
Bye

Re: How to check installed PSP version
Thanks for the reply and sorry for the late response. I was travelling. Probably I'd give more history on this. When we have a problem on a server, HP asks us to check the firmware and PSP versions installed. So normally the above methods are followed to find the PSP version. Even HP engineers ask to check the Insight mgmt agents version in control panel.
The above methods give "slightly" different numbers from the PSP version.
My qn is - how do we find the exact PSP installed?
Thanks

Re: How to check installed PSP version
IMHO makes more sense to know single driver version...

Re: How to check installed PSP version
Jarkko's reply seems reasonable to me. Fulvio, sorry if that was what you meant initially, it was not that clear.
Thanks both of you for the time.

note: it's already showing in the first page of google. so it will help more people :-)

Re: How to check installed PSP version
i think i found out, where to look for the psp version. to me it works great.
look into this directory: C:\WINDOWS\system32\CpqMgmt\cqmgstor
There you will find a readme.txt
Open it and look into the first lines, there u will see the installed PSP version written.
hope i could help also
regards,
Rene

Re: How to check installed PSP version
The first lines shows
HP Insight Storage Agents v8.25.0.0 - Windows
Probably this is what I mentioned in my question.
