HOW TO ENABLE SATA PORT ON HP PROLIANT SERVER

Hello I have a big problem my server HP ProLiant SE316M1 has 2,5 drives and i dont have at the moment and i have some 3,5 drives and i saw on the motherboard that i can connect to the sata port but i think the sata port in disabled and i am willing you guys to help me. Any idea??? Thanks in advance!

Hi @Ursus0111 , 

    I assume, HP ProLiant SE316M1 Server is same model as Dl160 Gen6.
    1) Are you able to view the smart array controller and disks are found in this.
    2) If no Smart Array controller, then how are you trying to install the OS. For this, you need to change from RAID mode to HBA mode.
    Please refer this quickspecs for supported disks and controller. 
    Provide us disk drive model or part number, in which bay you inserted them and other hardware details.
