How to identify and replace bad drive on an ancient ProLiant DL580 G7?
Last week the OS ( CentOS 7 ) went into " Read-only file system" mode. I logged into the ILO and see this message:
POST Error: 1786-Drive Array Recovery Needed
However, under "System Information" -> "Drives" , all drives show as GREEN and OK. See screenshot below. So not sure which drive is problematic, if any:

Re: How to identify and replace bad drive on an ancient ProLiant DL580 G7?
Hello,
A 1786 -Slot 1 Drive Array Recovery Needed error message should have given you following options.
The following SCSI drive(s) need Automatic Data Recovery: SCSI Port Y: SCSI ID Z
Select F1 to continue with recovery of data to drive.
Select F2 to continue without recovery of data to drive.
Possible cause - A failed drive or replacement drive has not yet been rebuilt.
Did someone replace a drive and press F1 to rebuild? The other possibilty is that the original drive is working again without errors.
