How to read Firmware

I have some HP ML570s and either a 560 or a 580.

How do I get the firmware versions?
Don't fly off the handle when you are full of baloney...

You can get it online or offline. offline during POST. There is a message like

256MB DetectedCOMPAQ System BIOS - P41 (10/21/1998)Copyright 1992, 1998 Compaq Computer Corporation. All rights reserved.

The P41(10/21/1998) is the version.
Online use HP Insight Manager, ILO or the survey utility.

Check for the latest version here

Or you can check C:\Compaq\Survey\Survey.txt if the Compaq/HP utils are loaded and it's a Windows based machine.
