How to Recover from Sleep Mode
Dear Friends,
I am using HP Proliant DL380 G4 Rack server, when shutdown & tried to restart it directely goes in to sleep mode, and the server doesnot start, any suggestions & advise please help me to solve this problem.

Hi Hetal,
If your server is running MS Server 2003 you may need to apply the patch from Microsoft which relates to problems with UPS restart.
This problem applies to all types of UPS and is not unique to HP/Compaq products.
Server 2003 has a Group Policy with setting "Do not turn off system power after a Windows system shutdown has occurred" This is set to "Disabled" by default which may be causing your problem.
Please see the following customer advisory and how to fix it.
