How to remove processor on G3 DL380?
I need to remove the second processor for memory requirements, but it will not even get to POST when the second processor is removed and there is an amber light on the top LED, is there a jumper I need to move in order for the server to utilize just the one processor?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: How to remove processor on G3 DL380?
Hi Stephen,
There is no jumper settings for this. When the second processor is removed, remove the PPM 2 from the server. Restart and check. Still the top led is amber, check on the systemboard if there is any component has a amber led lit up. Reseat the component and check. Reseat Memory, CPU and PPM and check.
Refer the Service and Maintenance Guide:

Regards,
Raj.
