HowTo Setup best perfomance on raid 1

Hello,

I got a DL380G5, and i need to setup 3 raid 1 on it. I found somewhere that the P400 got 2 raid bus (slot 1-4 and slot 5-8).

My question is : shall i set the raid 1 on slots 1-2, 3-4 and 4-5 or 1-5, 2-6 and 3-7.

I was about to use the second solution, ie use 2 bus for each raid 1, but i can't find any confirmation.

Thanks for the P400 description.

"2 internal x4 wide port connectors" : what is the best : to put both raid 1 disks on the same internal bus or one disk on each internal bus ?

I think the second solution is the best one, but i'd like confirmation.

it has 8 physical links (the cable is just a 4 to 1 connector but it has 4 separate buses), it makes no difference on performance however on fault tolerance is better to have them separate so if one port/cable fails the other one will be up saving downtime
