HP DAT40e
I am using Veritas BackupExec 8.5 to backup my Proliant ML370 using a HP SureStore DAT40e. When the backupjob starts its state changes to 'pending' (instead of backing up). I have consulted the knowledge base of Veritas BackupExec. In there I found a document indicating that this might be due to an SCSI error. When I examined the Windows NT Eventlog I noticed an Event ID 5 indicating an 'parity error' on the SCSI bus. This event is created when I try to make a backup/restore/e.d. and at boot-time. When I disconnect the HP SureStore DAT40e I do not get the Event error at boot-time. Maybe someone can help me with this problem...
